Water Activities

The Rideau Canal is an idyllic place to enjoy water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and recreational boating. The Canal’s locks have created an easy and safe to navigate slackwater system, with countless nooks, crannies, and points of interest to explore along the way. Spanning a variety of ecosystems, visitors will come into close contact with a variety of plants, trees, birds, and mammals, including loons, ospreys, turtles, otters, and white tailed deer.
