Rideau Tours

Boating Tours

Cruising on the water is a lovely tradition along the Rideau Canal. Capitaine Luc welcomes groups of 3-12 passengers aboard a new pontoon boat. Cruises run mid May to late October with custom tours also available. Lifejackets and all safety equipment provided as per Transport Canada safety regulations. Cruises depart the Chaffey’s Lock wharf next to the Parks Canada parking lot. The pontoon has a full sun cover and a full enclosure to protect in case of light rain or wind. We also have cozy blankets to keep you warm on those cooler days.

Paddling Tours

Experience paddling Ontario’s World Heritage Site and a Canadian Heritage River. The Rideau Lakes section of the Rideau Canal flows through the spectacular landscape of the Canadian Shield and the Frontenac Arch UNESCO Biosphere. The dramatic granite outcrops and the lush forests are an iconic backdrop to your paddle adventure.

Walking Tours

One hour guided walking tours of Chaffey’s Lock are a fun and active way to experience the area’s rich cultural history. Tours depart just next to the boat houses at Chaffey’s Lock across from the Opinicon parking lot.

Gourmet Picnics

Picnics are a lovely summer tradition along the Rideau Canal. These custom ready-made Gourmet picnic baskets are perfect for any outing…from hiking, cycling, paddling, boating, touring or just spending time by the water. Order, pick-up and enjoy your picnic then simply return the basket or ask for the “to go” option in a take away bag.
